Another mission had gone by. Bodies had been sent back through the 'Gate for their families to claim. The missing were still being looked for, but it didn't look hopeful. He'd saved some lives, as had Dr. West, but not enough. There were never enough, though, were there? Since he couldn't save them all...well. He never could, could he?! He could live a million years and never save them all. He would need his OWN session soon, but he found solace in the sessions where he helped the team. It helped HIM to put his own problems in perspective-he could help the lives he HAD saved, at least. He could help them to overcome. There were losses this time; losses that even HE couldn't have done anything about. Hopper had chosen to behave "heroically." Some might call it stupidly. Roger wasn't sure of which. But in case someone needed to talk about it, or anything related to it, he was here. That was what he DID, after all.
He sighed, and got his things together for the first appointment of the day. These weren't as structred as the last-these were "first-come, first-served," but he had cleared his whole day. There were ones he was hoping to see-Dr. Black, for sure, and the Earth team, again. But also the General, and Captain Miller this time-maybe even Fiona, and the rest of the science team. The ones who had SEEN the violence. The ones he wanted to protect the most, but the ones he thought might be strongest...he wasn't sure yet.
He opened the door, and waited. The email he'd issued to the entire base had said to simply show up at 0830, make a line, and sign in. He'd do the rest. He let the first one in. So it began.
