Stargate Meropis: Episode Eight - An Awakening
Following a recent haitus and lull in activity, some of us loyal to the website have expressed an urge to continue roleplaying. Inspired by some recent events, I (Steve/Jason) would like to support this resurgence with a few creative surprises. During the course of this and the next few episodes I intend to create and weave an awesome story with you guys where we turn what we know of the Stargate universe up on it's head and tread a brave new frontier. Let's see how this plays out...
SUMMARY
Episode Seven left us on a cliffhanger of sorts. The away team were still trapped on the ancient ship called 'The Ark' and had seemingly triggered an automated defence system that would do it's best to lead to their inevitable demise. General Conway's life had been saved by using time travel no less and a spy on base had been detected and captured, but this had sent up serious political alarm bells back home. Finally, SM-3 found themselves captured by an indigenous race whilst on an off-world mission, with only The Sun-Tzu for back up minus their locator beacons.
Episode Eight is titled, An Awakening. A single action is about to spark a chain of events that will lead to everything we know about the Stargate Program being turned on it's head. They are coming back, and they are using one man to do so.
THE ARK

THE SUN TZU
Following on from the events of Episode Seven, the ship is dispatched to investigate a remote star system with no Stargate that the Etruscan spy previously on board the ship had tried to reach. When they arrive, what they discover changes the landscape of the galaxy forever. SM-3
Those that were involved in the last mission for SM-3 during Episode Seven are welcome to continue their story this episode, if not, it will be assumed that The Sun Tzu has managed to successfully aid in the recapture of the team from a fairly confused, hostile industrial era civilisation. In the present episode, SM-3 rejoin us on board The Sun Tzu is injured personnel.
