Memory Recall Device

The memory recall device is a device used by the Goa'uld and the Tok'ra. it amplifies the neural activity of the host memory, and allows the user to remember events. Memories and sensations recalled can be quite powerful, depending on the setting. It is incapable of targeting specific memories. The Tok'ra use it in conjunction with the za'tarc detector.

Hathor used a version of the device paired with a holographic projector, which displayed the subject's memories as a two-dimensional image. When reading Sam's mind, Martouf chose not to use the holographic protector so as to respect her privacy.

Jacob Carter used one to probe the mind of a captured Kull warrior to help the SGC find their planet of origin. The device simply projected the Kull warrior's memory of the sky above his planet. This was then used placed with Tok'ra star mapping technology, which deduced the actual location of the planet, based on the constellations.[/class]
