Somewhere in the Milky Way...
"I trust our prior arrangement still suits you?" The Etruscan warmaster enquired as he swept into his room, garbed in a long dark cloak with golden jewel encrusted armour. His voice framed by deep tones, not unlike a Goa'uld but far enough removed to be unique. Rather than the usual duel voice effect, the Etruscan God presented as having a voice far too deep for the body it originated from.
"Indeed," the High Kleeson replied, looking equally noble in his royal attire. It consisted of a light grey, close fitting outfit with silver jewels on both wrists and around the neck line. An intricate insignia on both shoulders denoted his rank within the societal structure. He bowed politely as Laran entered the room alone to speak with the other two leaders. "And I trust that everything on your front is going according to plan thus far?"
"The Wraith have moved as predicted, as soon as they received the information about the secondary great ring network, they began searching for a new food source. The Tau'ri do not suspect a thing, and have in fact improved upon our plans by introduction of what they call their Hoffman virus." Laran informed the others as he took up his position stood around the circular table before them. Small holograms projected just above the table's surface represented dozens of worlds while even smaller ones represented ships travelling back and forth.
"Excellent. I am sure I make myself clear when I say that the Tau'ri cannot be allowed to dominate any further. It is only by a combined effort on all three fronts that we will achieve our joint aims. Only then can we succeed where the Ori and the Goa'uld have failed." The second Kleeson replied with an air of pompousness about him.
"As you mentioned. However, use of the Ik'tal remains difficult at best. Whilst the Wraith contain the Tau'ri in Pegasus with numerous casualties, I cannot keep sustaining such losses in Triangulum. What of your forces? When will you finally make a move within this galaxy!?" Laran asked, clearly growing impatient and a little frustrated with his allies lack of action.
"One moment," The two humans conferred for a moment in hushed voices before returning their attention to their guest. "The preliminary attack will begin shortly, in the meantime we are willing to gift you some of our new surface combat drones. They have not yet been introduced to the battlefield. The condition of this gift will be for us to receive promptly a full battle report on their field test, is this acceptable?" One of the humans asked while the other brought up a large orb-like schematic on the holographic display between the three of them.
"Indeed," Laran smiled studying the schematic with interest, "My ships leave within the hour." With that, the Etruscan decided the conversation was now over. He left the room in a hurry, heading back to his fleet in orbit and planning his next move. He would use this advanced race to his advantage, once their common enemy was defeated, he would have no trouble destroying them and claiming the better part of two galaxies to himself. The Wraith were a minor pest that could be dealt with later, or at least contained with Pegasus for a few more eons.
The High Kleeson turned to face the wide window behind him, glancing out of the viewing platform as it gently made it's way around the planet below in a low orbit. Their new ally had been a fortuitous find once they had discovered the existence of the secondary network. Now, it was simply a game of strategy against the Tau'ri. With the Wraith as their puppets, and the Etruscan being one of very few of the parasitic cloud like beings remaining in existence from the ancestor's mistakes, victory would be easy. The Kleeson smiled at his plans, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and once the enemy is extinguished, they would wipe the Etruscan abominations from existence as well.
The orbital platform passed over the enormous depression in the landscape, as the bustling cities fell away and only ruin and destruction was visible. The black hole had caused them to destroy their Stargate and a quarter of the planet in the process, the subsequent Earthquakes and natural weather side-effects from a sudden change in orbit had almost destroyed their entire homeworld. Even now, large machines that looked like ants from the platform were busy at work, lowering themselves through the atmosphere from off-world excursions and depositing small amounts of raw materials into the crater.
"The project is 28% complete my lord." The second Kleeson advised, noting the direction of his lingering gaze.
"In time my friend, in time. The Aschen will have their vengeance upon the Tau'ri, and the confederation will see a new golden age for us all."
