Note: Feel free to jump in. I can't think of anyone specific. If no one wants to play, Pais will be solo.

She'd been restless for a little while, and it had dawned on the princess earlier that week that the reason why was because she was homesick. She was the PRINCESS, and also, she was the LEADER of her planet. They needed her. On the other hand, she had made new friends. But they didn't NEED her-she had few skills that were valuable to the Meropis crew. She knew this. Other than keeping the other aliens in check, she really had no duties or purpose. So she'd asked Fiona Maccafferty, and Tom Chambers to help her to recreate her cruiser. Now, with the General gone, she had to go home. Tensions would be higher. She had already sent word to her father.
Now, she sat at the console of her newly fashioned cruiser. It was actually piece-mailed together from scrapes that she'd gotten permission to use. It wasn't pretty. It was barely functional. But it was sufficient. She entered her coordinates, the 12 digit "code" of her home planet. She had a clear launch; the pilots had assured that they'd have a spot for her, and they had made good on that. Maggie had done some sims with her to get her skils back up to par-that had been fun. There was no one like the blonde French woman back on Heliv, and for that, Paisley was grateful. BUT she'd miss her humanoid friends. She'd learned much during her time here...mostly, she'd learned that the history and culture that they kept of Earth on Heliv was outdated. They'd have to figure out how to communicate with the Stargate to triangulate a more modern history and culture.
She was ready. She'd pass the two other nearby planets, desolate planets of nothing much interesting to the Princess, and after a few hours cruising deep space, she'd have enough throttle to enter hyperspace and be home fast. Hopefully this time, she'd not be shot out of the air by rogue space pirates. But if she were, she was READY. She opened the hatch to her cockpit.
I am ready to launch. She smiled a shaky smile. She would miss her friends, but she hoped they knew she was grateful for their help...for getting her back on her feet, teaching her about modern Earthlings, and for securing a cruiser. It was also FUN...at home, she had to proper, and "on" all the time-she WAS the princess, but here...she could be Paisley. No one cared she was a princess. She was allowed to shoot things, and use her military training alongside others. She was a follower, not reluctant leader.
She was given the GO sign. She had no idea she was about to fly unwittingly into something that Meropis hadn't prepared her for.
This is the end/hold your breath and count to ten
