One good thing about the eye of the storm was that the ancient's transporters were temporarily working again, having been unlocked automatically by the city wide safety protocols. General Conway seized the opportunity to get himself down to the infirmary urgently. Within two minutes of leaving the control room, he was on scene... And it was chaos. People had been hit hard during the first wave of the storm and were now just about finding themselves at the medical bay doors asking for help. Jason dodged through several groups of people, weaving his way toward the staff.
There were people being propped up looking dazed, there were soldiers throwing up in their hats and most worryingly of all there were people with visible injuries ranging from small cats to broken bones. Jason walked past one man,a Norwegian Soldier by the looks of it, being restrained by his two colleagues, he appeared angry and was yelling something in the hall about Iraqi militants coming to get him. Pushing past and entering the infirmary, Jason could see that Dr. Kells and Dr. West had their hands full, that didn't take a genius to work out. Among the throng of people he couldn't make out where either of their alien guests had gotten to, but from what he know of them from the limited information they had so far, they'd probably be out in the halls helping with the wounded.
"Doctors, I can see you have your hands full with casualties," he stated the obvious as the two rushed back and forth from the medical cabinets, finishing off treatment of one of the civilians who was rubbing his forehead and ushering him out of the way to get the next casualty on the table. "I just wanted to let you know that McKay and Glavish are working on a plan to modify the shields, if it works we should be safe from the rest of the storm and things will eventually get back to normal. If it doesn't..." He didn't want to finish the sentence, he just looked as both Doctors stopped and looked him in the eyes. Non-verbal communication was all he needed here, they knew the stakes and what was worse was that they could nothing about it. All they could do was deal with the collateral damage. Jason rolled up his sleeves and headed over to the anti-bacterial gel pump screwed into the wall by Dr. West's desk,
"What can I do to help?" He asked, he may be the expedition leader but that wasn't an excuse to shy away from the ground work, however messy it got. Jason was ready to get stuck in up to his elbows, even if they potentially only had a few moments left to live.
