John Callaghan
Okay. This is Alternate John. The John that hadn't joined the Stargate Programme at the time either due to it not existing, or the didn't think he was good enough. I don't care, to be honest.
Anyway, up until the time that John is wounded in Afghanistan, the timeline is exactly the same. After he spents a few months in recovery, John returns to his Recon Battalion. Now a Captain, he keeps control of his platoon for a few months until he's given the spot of Company Commander of Bravo Company. He'll go on a few more deployments with his Company before he is inevitably promoted to Major.
At this time, he transfers out of Force Recon, and back into the normal Infantry. He takes the job of Executive Officer of 1st Battalion, 1st Marines out of Camp Pendleton.
Because of the fact that for pretty much all of his career, his unit's home has been Camp Pendleton, John has a house in San Diego. Furthermore, he'll have a, uhm. I'm not sure what to call it. It's, like, a small house that's attached to his parents' mansion. Anyway, he'll have that, and that mansion is in Virginia. There's virtually no-one in sight for miles, and the land attached to it is too huge to do anything with, it's been part of the family since the time of the Colonies.
One last thing I should add is the fact that his ex left the Royal Navy on finding out she was pregnant, and moved to the States. She lives in San Diego, and John has his daughter for a week, every other week.
Friends
I imagine John would have friends? At least, you know, one. Or two? Or one...
I mean, come on! He's a great guy!
Enemies
I'm sure he has a few of those as well... Marines that think they've been mistreated after John gave them a stern speech or something.
Lovers
Eh. John would have had a few girlfriends in the past, but they never seemed to be able to deal with the 2 simple facts that are the following:
A) He is a Marine. He WILL risk getting deployed.
B) He has a little girl.
So, if he finds someone she'd need to be able to accept both those facts at least...

Dylan Hawkins
In my mind, Hawkins was a Submariner until '07. Around that time, he was a Lieutenant-Commander, and was serving as Executive Officer of a Los-Angeles class submarine until he was hit by a drunk driver and was hospitalized for a while. He received a medical discharge. He then joined the New York Police Department where he worked himself up to Detective.
Friends
Dylan has friends! He's a pretty friendly guy, even though he is a bit cynical since his accident.
Enemies
Uhm... Pretty much everyone he has put away?

Thomas Hopper
In the alternate universe, Hopper never joined the SEALs and remained an Enlisted sailor in the surface fleet, and currently might be serving as Command Master Chief aboard an Arleigh-Burke.

James Mulholland
In the AU, Jim is serving in the RAAF as a pilot, and Roo is supposed to be his NFO/CSO. He is very protective of his baby sister, even though they fly together.
Gijs de Vos
In the AU, Gijs wouldn't have joined the Stargate programme, and would therefore likely still be married to his childhood sweetheart. He'd also not have been wounded so severely, that doctors aren't sure if he'll ever walk again... He'll still be in the Royal Netherlands Navy, but sticks to flying helicopters and whatnot.

Catarina Caetano
Nav would probably have joined her dad's crew, and eventually taken over the family business of fishing. Or alternatively she'd have studied to become a cook or summat. It's a bit fuzzy still.
