That sounds adorable. Is he like you? The Space Marine, I mean. Ryan laughed. “I wish I was Space Marine! I would give almost anything to be able to explore space. But about Corporal Johnson, maybe I don’t know. The first story takes place on Mars.” Ryan said with a shrug, still blushing. He had initially started writing out of boredom and to past the time. Ryan remembered walking through the passages ways, just listening to the sounds the ship made, or even the conversations that people had and placed them into his stories. He smiled though, happy that someone was interested in something that he had created.
Well, besides shopping, which I guess is sort of Max, too...I play pickup sports at the Bureau three mornings a week. He nodded, wanting for her to finish so he could ask some follow-up questions. “What kind of shopping? Clothes? Food? TOYS?” Ryan drew out the last one with a wink, grinning, feeling more and more comfortable around her. “I know you said you don’t play basketball much, but what other sports do you play?” Ryan asked.
Mama Megan arrived a short minute later with their tasty treats. “Ah there you are my dears. Please enjoy. Stay as long as you like. We do close soon, but I don’t mind staying late. I have work I can still do.” She said with a wink towards Ryan, which caused him to blush. She moved over to another table checking up on other customers.
“If there was one thing that you could do, whether it be for recreation or work, what would it be?” Ryan asked. He didn’t know if that was an awkward question or not. There was a thousand and one things he wanted to tell her and know. He smiled taking a sip from is coffee. Damn, can Mama Megan make a mean coffee, I wonder where she gets the beans? Ryan thought as he listened to Fee.
Same Time
Elsewhere.
“Damn, can’t we just go in and grab him and the girl?” “No, there are witnesses.” “Can’t we just say we are with someone?” “No, we were warned about do that again. Remember what happened last time?” “Yes, alright. But sheesh, they are taking forever.”
