Uedaens or Meowtians
Doctor Black's report following the expedition to Lillith's secret lab
Name Of Race: Meowtians/Uedaens
Homeworld(s): Ueda, Triangulum Galaxy is the primary home-world the species originated from. I have also been given the locations of Mizuki and Sanada which are expansion colonies for the Meowtian Empire it seems. Mizuki is in the same quadrant as Ueda whereas Sanada is in the Pegasus Galaxy. It seems the colony there is relatively small and struggles against the Wraith as well as their distance from home.
Technological Advancement: Their level of technology appears to be high, beyond even the Asgards potentially but more research is needed to confirm or deny this. It is unclear exactly how advanced this race is at this time but I can confirm that their level does not exceed Alteran or Ori. The race seems to make use of what they call "mana" or "magic". Although, on further investigation this appears to be complex manipulation of possible "dark matter" and sub-space quantum mechanics beyond even Glavish's understanding at this time. See my report below on shape shifting and linker cores.
Any Ships: The size of their fleet is currently unknown. From talking to Aear Charter, it appears that several ships do exist, ranging from fighters to mother ships. There are also large ship-yards on the homeworld.
Description of First Contact: First contact was on 25th August 2010. Our expedition, led by Captain Jones and Dr. Glavish discovered a hidden Alteran lab not far from Meropis on the planet surface. It is understood that Lillith primarily used this lab by herself. Initially, our teams were attacked by a Uedaen assailant, a female version of Mr. Charter only significantly more powerful. She had the ability to self-generate a personal shield and used an energy staff that had multiple forms of attack. She also demonstrated exceptional speed and strength for her size. On discovery of the lab, we found Aear inside in "cat form". This is now understood to be a recovery phase for these beings. See the mission reports for full details, but to summarize, we were again attacked by the female and the combined efforts of our team, the non-replicator Almeda and Aear Charter helped us to defeat and ultimately neutralize the assassin.

Hostile, Neutral, or Friendly: This is unclear at this stage although we are leaning toward Neutral. Charter is associated with a faction call "Brave Phoenix". It seems that the hierarchy on Ueda is quite complicated and the civilization seems to be in a permanent state of civil unrest. Possibly in fear of attacks from outside forces such as the Etruscans.
Research from Atlantis Database: The database holds little information on this race, and I have searched various combinations including Ueda, Meowtian and Aear himself. Given the expansion of the race onto other worlds, I strongly believe that Lillith may have a hand in their development. If this is the case, it may be possible that the Meowtians cannot achieve ascension. Their current advancement would have surely lent itself to that over the course of ten-thousand years. This would also explain Aear's "emergency jump" straight to the secret lab. Could the nanites in his system have some sort of pre-programmed code within them? At this time I am reluctant to explore this, they are harmless enough and perhaps should be left be until we know more.

More information will be added as we get it.
