Maccafferty,
I've been mulling this over for a little while now and I feel like I'd like to offer you a (slight) promotion or enhancement to your role here on Meropis. You have always been a valued member of the team, and the only way is up from here. Please hear me out, if you don't fancy it then we'll reconsider but I've put your case forward to the I.O.A as the most suitable person to fill this role.
Alien Liaison Officer!
Our Triangulum Galaxy natives so far seem to have been attracted to you like moths to a flame. Why that is, I do not know, but let's leap on that! Your role would be one of strategic value to myself. You will gain experience first hand of the various alien races we encounter here in this galaxy, you will introduce them to the city, break the ice and ease their fears. You will report back to me and bring any concerns to my attention in a case by case basis.
Aear Charter - Of the Meowtian race, potentially as you were the one that discovered him, he has inevitably taken an attachment to you. Work with this, nurture him and heal him, through him we will befriend and ally to the Meowtians against the Etruscans. An enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Almeda - A curious specimen. She seems to have been designed to maintain the city and purely that. Keep an eye on her, although she seems to pose no real threat to us, I have a lot of over heads who are very twitchy about her being here to say the least. I, myself, am a believer in Almeda and her uses her. Work with her as best you can, but you will have to have a guard stationed with you 24/7 unfortunately.
Marcus Valateria - An interesting fellow, very new to us obviously and still finding his feet. He is Satedan, which comes with it's own pros and cons, but he seems genuine enough. We're working with Atlantis to bring Ronan Dex over as soon as we can to meet with him, but they're now down to 2 ZPMs so it'll have to wait until the General Hammond is free to transport him.
Paisley Gregorvich - You might not have had a chance to meet her yet. She is a survivor whose ship turned up near us asking for help, shortly after that her ship fell apart! She has somehow lost her way here from another galaxy altogether (an unexplored one at that, how exciting!) but here she is, and without a way to get her home I think she might be here to stay. She's just settling in so give her all the time she needs to get comfortable and then we'll have a chat with her about her plans.
Well, that's about it for now. Obviously, we have Jaffa and Tok'ra coming and going every so often as well as Ahrima and Jones permanently stationed here, but they have their own roles respectively as Liaison Officers so you won't need to worry about them. I do hope you seriously consider the offer.
