Window of Opportunity (Comedy Thread)

Hey folks,

I thought we could do with a short story that happens in between Episodes to keep us going while we are waiting for others to post. We have the engineering club mini-thread which could be occurring at the start of Episode Five in TV-Series mode, we have the 1 to 1 with the General which could be occurring alongside Episode Four. SO...

I figured we could have this comedy mini-story that happens between episodes in our timeline. Based on the SG-1 episode Window of Opportunity where an alien activities an ancient device that loops time every 12 hours back to the start, only Teal'c and O'Neill are aware. Please feel free to reply and develop this mini-plot but I feel that something simple could happen like one of the scientist characters is documenting the contents of one of the rooms on one of the piers during city exploration and puts their mug of coffee down on a button by accident, triggering an early form of this device which loops time on the planet. Perhaps only those near the room in question are affected?

We would need to post an initial thread leading up to us all being NEAR the device then we loop it back 12 hours and re-copy our first post... but start to change it slightly, start realizing what is going on. Other characters (even NPC ones) will not realize what is happening, we could have a bit of fun with it?

Mayhaps it was on of Lilith's devices? Or mayhaps they go offworld to find the device and have to work out WHICH of the many hundreds of devices it was that they triggered?

Oh, even better idea there Aear! Perhaps we start the thread with Black and a couple others opening up a new room down in the depths of one of the piers, in turning on the light switch perhaps it turns on like... 30 random devices in that room. Some simply measure your heart rate, some do other things but one of them somewhere in there has caused time to loop. Lillith's junkyard room.

Well if your in the 'blast radius' then you'd get sent back in time along with everyone else.

Good question! It would be one of two extremes, you either wouldn't be affected or you would be even more so than everyone else, I like the idea of the latter
