Aviation Insignia

Badge Name	Badge Image	Badge Criteria
Aviation Psychologist		Iissued to those members of the Navy Medical Service Corps who have been qualified as in-flight aviation observers with certification in psychology, in particular the psychology of in-flight aircraft close quarters and the mental stress of possible combat situations.
Aviation Warfare Specialist, Enlisted		The basic prerequisite for the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist insignia is that a service member be assigned in a sea-duty status to a deployable naval aviation unit or aviation capable ship. Most service members earning this insignia hold an enlisted rating designated in aviation (though a non-aviation rating is still eligible), or a support rating.
Flight Nurse		Members of the United States Navy who are both qualified ursing officers and certified flight officers.
Flight Surgeon		Members of the United States Navy who are both qualified medical officers and certified flight surgeons.
Naval Astronaut		Completing training and traveling in a spaceflight, as defined by NASA or the United States Department of Defense
Naval Aviator		A naval aviator is a commissioned officer or warrant officer qualified as a pilot in the United States Navy, United States Marine Corps or United States Coast Guard.
Naval Aviation Observer		In addition to wings for Naval Aviators and Naval Flight Officers, the United States Navy still maintains an "Observer Badge" which is issued to flight-qualified mission specialists, such as a select number of meteorologists and intelligence officers in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps.
Naval Flight Officer		To qualify for the NFO insignia, a service member must have completed officer aviation training and be qualified as a systems operator on board a Naval aircraft. Such qualifications include weapons system operations, airborne tactical data system operations, electronic warfare, and airborne navigation.
Naval Flight Officer Astronaut		In the modern space age, the insignia is also upgradeable to a variation of the Naval Aviator Astronaut insignia. Known as the Naval Flight Officer Astronaut insignia, the decoration is a standard NFO insignia upon which is centered a golden astronaut "shooting star" logo. The badge is issued for those Naval Flight Officers who have completed astronaut training at NASA and have subsequently participated in a space flight more than 50 miles above the Earth.
Navy Aircrew		Authorized for personnel who have undergone extensive training in flight operations of naval aircraft. Such training includes weapons management, electronic warfare, and water survival. Contrary to most other services, naval aircrewmen do not receive their wings after aircrew school. Rather, they receive their wings only after completing their NATOPS (Naval Aviation Training and Operations Procedures Standardization) qualifications on their assigned airframe.

Parachutist Insignia

Parachutist Badge, Basic		The right to wear the Basic Parachutist Insignia is based on the completion of prescribed training defined in MCO 3120.11.
Navy & Marine Corps		It is authorized for officers and enlisted personnel who were awarded the Basic Parachutist Insignia and, under competent orders, have completed a minimum of five additional static-line or P3 jumps, to include: (1) combat equipment day jump, two (2) combat equipment night jumps, and employ at least two (2) different types of military aircraft.

Special Warfare

Special Warfare Insignia		The Special Warfare insignia (aka the "SEAL Trident" or the "Budweiser Badge"), is awarded to personnel who completed BUD/S training and qualification, and have been designated as Navy SEALs and assigned to Navy SEAL Teams or SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) Teams. The insignia is the same for both officer and enlisted personnel and is one of only three breast insignia authorized for enlisted personnel that is gold in color.
