Combat Infantryman Badge |
| Infantry, Special Forces, or other personnel attached to such units of brigade or smaller size, that personally engage the enemy in combat in any of the following conflicts;

Combat Action Badge |
| Any non-infantry, non-special forces personnel not attached to such units, that personally engage the enemy in combat in any of the following conflicts;

Expert Infantryman Badge | Soldier must meet Department of the Army established testing requirements and must possess a military occupational specialty within Career Management Field 11 (Infantry) or 18 (Special Forces), less MOS 18D. |

Combat Medical Badge | Any member of the Army Medical Department, at the rank of Colonel or below, who is assigned or attached to a medical unit (company or smaller size) which provides medical support to a ground combat arms unit during any period in which the unit was engaged in active ground combat is eligible for the CMB. According to the award criterion, the individual must be performing medical duties while simultaneously being actively engaged by the enemy in any of the following conflicts;

Expert Field Medical Badge | Soldier must meet Department of the Army established testing requirements and must possess a military occupational specialty within Army Medical Field. |

Army Astronaut Badge | The gold Astronaut Device is issued by the U.S. Army to Army aviators, flight surgeons, and aircrew members that qualify as astronauts. The Astronaut Device is a gold shooting star and elliptical orbit which is affixed over the shield of previously awarded Army aviation badges. Army Astronauts that have yet to fly a mission and have not previously been awarded any aviation badge are awarded the Army Aviation Badge. Once they have flown a mission, they are awarded the Astronaut Device which is affixed to the shield of their Army Aviation Badge. | |
Army Aviator Badge | In the modern military, Army and Air Force Aviator Badges are issued in three ratings: Basic, Senior, and Command/Master/Chief. The higher degrees are denoted by a star or star with wreath above the badge. | |
Army Flight Surgeon Badge | Members of the United States Army who are both qualified medical officers and certified flight surgeons. | |
Army Aviation Badge | Anyone trained in flight operations was authorized to wear this badge, including pilots, bombardiers, navigators, flight engineers, radio men and gunners. The badge was also awarded to certain ground personnel at the discretion of their commanding officer. Non-crewmembers eligible for the badge were individuals with flying status such as aircraft maintenance supervisors and technical inspectors. |

Parachutist Badge, Senior | To be eligible for the Senior Parachutist Badge, an individual must have been rated excellent in character and efficiency, participated in a minimum of 30 jumps including fifteen jumps with combat equipment; either graduated from the Jumpmaster Course, or the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Jumpmaster Course; or served as jumpmaster on one or more combat jumps or as a jumpmaster on 15 noncombat jumps. | |
Parachutist Badge, Master | To be eligible for the Master Parachutist Badge, an individual must have been rated excellent in character and efficiency, participated in a minimum of 65 jumps including twenty-five jumps with combat equipment, or served as jumpmaster on one or more combat jumps or as jumpmaster on 33 noncombat jumps | |
Pathfinder Badge | Completion of the U.S. Army Pathfinder School or equivalent Course | |
Air Assault Badge | Awarded by the U.S. Army for successful completion of the Air Assault School, a two-week (ten-day) course. The course includes three phases of instruction involving U.S. Army rotary wing aircraft: combat air assault operations; rigging and slingload operations; and rappelling from a helicopter. | |
Military Freefall Parachutist Badge | A star and a laurel wreath, centered above the badge, is authorized for soldiers and airman qualified as a Military Master Free Fall Parachutist (Jumpmaster). Such qualification requires completing the Military Free Fall Jumpmaster course, wherein the student learns how to be a jumpmaster in military free fall operations; course requirements include experience as a military free fall parachutist and completion of the static line jumpmaster course. | |
