Legends of Arda is a new rp and writing forum based on the works of J. R. R. Tolkien. We welcome all types of characters, including dwarves, hobbits, elves, Beornings and Men. The main part of the board covers the Third Age and there is also a section for writers who wish to delve deeper into the world of Arda by taking on characters from The Silmarillion. There is also a board for an AU in a modern setting, so people can role-play the characters in any setting they wish.
Unlike other forums of this type, the board does not have a set story line which every member must participate in - instead, the stories that are rped are up to the members. You can write solos, one on one rps, or group rps. We have a plugin which allows members to have one account, but are able to post as different characters. (This also means that the board can support different versions of canon characters so writers are free to write canon characters according to their own interpretations.
In addition to the rp boards, there is also a fan fiction board where people can share their Tolkien fan fiction while they wait for their perfect writing partners.
As the board is new, many canon characters are needed to make the board come alive and there are also staff openings to help run the board.
