Paisley stood just inside the docking port of the jumper bay, peering up at the door, using her peering glass as a flashlight. She had an IDEA. If it worked, and it WOULD, if she get enough tools and that idiot Meowtain to pay attention for ten freakin' minutes, it would solve the problems of a future radiation event, storm water flooding, AND whatever else these lowly Humanoids got themselves into.
She looked around. Not a soul in sight; where were those...what were they called?!...engineers when she needed one?! Oh, well. She had watched them work, and she figured she could figure it out. She poked at the door to test it. Yep. Solid steel. She ran her bare hand over it. Her operating organ suggested it was from some Tau'ri place called "Japan". That meant nothing to her.
She looked up then at her companions.
You, Meowman. How are you with engineering? Blueberry, gimme that shiny thing, she pointed to a screwdriver. Finally, one of you needs to find something we can use as an...what do they call it?...antenna. She fought for the proper Tau'ri word-on her planet, they were just called buntu.
