Fiona moved slightly, to better kiss her husband. She held it a moment longer than usual; she could feel he was tense, and afraid, and she knew that she calmed him. Same with her; one look from him, a gentle hand on her back and all was right in her world once more. They had a storybook romance from the outside, but that didn't mean that they were perfect. Just perfect for each other.
She beamed when he agreed that phoning Doc Harrison was a good idea. Well, of course it was; it was HER idea, after all!
Yeah... Yeah, I'd like that. Maybe just go somewhere new for a change. For all the wonders of the universe, it's the culture and the people of Earth that make it a place worth visiting. She smiled lightly, and nodded.
Aye, I rather fancy it myself. Hmm, not Boston; it's bloody hot right now. How about Bombay?! Since it once a part of the Commonwealth, we won't need a Visa, but Evie might need a shot.... She trailed off, feeling a little silly. There were serious matters at hand, and she was planning a bloody holiday! A noise startled her; a vision appeared. Was she losing her knob?!
After a moment, Ryan Decker, still blonde but graying, still in the RAAF uniform she'd remembered, appeared in front of them, plain as the morning sun. She stood as Michael did, and immediately got Evie, pulling the child close to her. Fee didn't think the man would harm the baby-she remembered him being very calm and not violent-but she was a bit scared, and her mother instincts kicked in. The child remained asleep; good on him for that; if he'd woken her, there'd be even more hell to pay than what Michael was about to lay out.
THe blonde Aussie spoke.
I'm very sorry about, dropping in like this but there is something you must know, if you haven't already guessed or be told of...Now that it's safe, You probably already know about the impending revelation of the Stargate and everything related for the near future? She narrowed her brown eyes, but took Michael's hand in hers. Evie sighed in her sleep. She nodded, but let Michael take over.
Yes, we bloody well do! And we'd like to keep well enough out of it thank you very much! Do you mind telling us exactly what about it is so important that you can just barge into our living room and activate a dilation field without my express permission!? For a start, we've just missed our favourite show simply by virtue of me this sentence being said AND -If you don't bloody hurry up we'll miss Christmas as well! Fiona looked at her husband, a little surprised. It was usually SHE who was so passionate. Just then, Evie opened her brown eyes and let out a lusty wail. She sighed.
Now you've BOTH woken the babby. Calm yourself, dear. Decker, sir, make it quick; I DO need to feed the lass, and then bedtime for the Blacks. Have you got any chislers these days?! I suppose not, otherwise, you'd know that Noon is better for them... She wasn't angry with the man, exactly, just a little irritated to have Evie woken up. The child seemed interested in the blonde former pilot, though, and reached out for him. But as Michael said, we'd rather be kept out of this nonsense. It WAS a part of our lives, and always will be, but this is our life now, and I'd rather prefer to live it without the involvement of the Stargate Program. She didn't want to be Fee the TA anymore. She just wanted to be Fee the wife and mummy now. She liked it.
